Rooted in Tradition, Teaching for Tomorrow
With over 15 years of dedicated practice and teaching, our Guru carries forward the sacred Guru-Shishya Parampara (teacher-disciple tradition) that has sustained Hindustani classical music for centuries.
Trained in the rich tradition of Hindustani classical vocal music, she specializes in Khayal, Thumri, and Bhajan styles. Her approach weaves together the discipline of traditional riyaz (practice) with modern pedagogical methods that make learning accessible and joyful for students of all ages.
From the foundational notes of सा रे ग म (Sa Re Ga Ma) to the meditative depths of alaap and the rhythmic intricacies of taal, every lesson is crafted to nurture both the musical ability and the inner artist within each student.
Her students span from 5-year-old beginners in New York to senior adults in Mumbai, united by a shared love for the timeless beauty of Indian classical and devotional music.
